Will Rogers: An American Original

This one-man show, described by chicagocritic.com as a “tour de force performance”, features Kevin McKillip as the renowned author and humorist. At the time of his death in 1935, Will Rogers hosted the most popular radio show in America, had a daily column that ran in over 400 newspapers, and was the number one male box office star in Hollywood. In the course of a career that ranged from Texas Jack’s Wild West Show to The Zeigfeld Follies, Will Rogers, the “Cowboy Philosopher”, spoke to all of America, and all of America listened. Using rope tricks to punctuate his delivery, Will’s folksy observations on government, the economy and society are as timely today as ever.
